Baseball Recap: Grandview Comes Up Short

Grandview fell victim to Central and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 10-0 to the Indians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 12-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2016.

Grandview's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Central, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-4 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grandview will venture away from home to challenge Guadalupe Centers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Aztecs at the right time seeing as the Aztecs are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Central, they will challenge Ruskin at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Golden Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.33 runs per game on average), something the Indians will no doubt try to take advantage of.
