League recap: Fredericktown scores huge upset over Centerburg

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Fredericktown, who took down 349th ranked Centerburg, 27-13.

Danville extended the longest winning streak in Mid-Buckeye this week by beating Utica, 42-6. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Blue Devils.

Northridge's dynamic duo of Bryant Garee and Chase Hess proved tough for Loudonville to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Garee threw for 24 yards and Hess had 14 yards receiving. Kyle Lambright helped Northridge's passing attack out by catching one ball for 10 yards.

Cody Farley was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 147 yards on 32 carries as Johnstown-Monroe fell to the Redbirds. Tyler Thompson also contributed to the rushing game with 99 yards on the ground.

Northridge's Garee and Hess have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Garee has thrown for 469 yards this season, while Hess, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 21 catches for 276 yards. The Johnnies' Farley leads the league in rushing yards with 1169.

A big matchup in Mid-Buckeye this week will be when East Knox takes on Danville. The Bulldogs are currently in fifth, while Ed Honabarger's team is in first.

There should be lots of points scored when Darby Riley's team and Johnstown-Monroe face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Vikings comes in having scored 114 this season, while Michael Carter's team has scored 294. Northridge scored 0 points last week as it fell to Loudonville.

The Freddies moved up to 382 from 422 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Fredericktown was able to make move up by defeating the Trojans 27-13.
