The Indian Lake Lakers will square off against the Bellefontaine Chieftains at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Indian Lake is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.
On Friday, Indian Lake made easy work of Tecumseh and carried off a 14-2 victory. The Lakers haven't had any issues with the Arrows recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Bre Wisener made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. Wisener was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Annie Rapp was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mackenzie Dixon, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one RBI.
Indian Lake was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .531. They are 8-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Bellefontaine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 7-4 to North Union.
Like Indian Lake, Bellefontaine also got a great game from a two-way player: Joy Fogan. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off 11 hits. Fogan was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
Bellefontaine's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Indian Lake, their victory bumped their record up to 13-8.
Bellefontaine's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Indian Lake has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.5 hits per game. It's a different story for Bellefontaine, though, as they've been averaging 10.2 hits. Given Indian Lake's sizable advantage in that area, the Chieftains will need to find a way to close that gap.
Indian Lake took their win against Bellefontaine when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 8-0 score. Will the Lakers repeat their success, or do the Chieftains have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
