Softball Preview: Indian Lake Lakers vs. Bellefontaine Chieftains

The Indian Lake Lakers will square off against the Bellefontaine Chieftains at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Indian Lake is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.

On Friday, Indian Lake made easy work of Tecumseh and carried off a 14-2 victory. The Lakers haven't had any issues with the Arrows recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Bre Wisener made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. Wisener was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Annie Rapp was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mackenzie Dixon, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one RBI.

Bellefontaine's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Indian Lake, their victory bumped their record up to 13-8.
