On Thursday, everything went the Martin County Tigers's way against the Lyman Greyhounds as the Martin County Tigers made off with a 12-2 win. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Frankie Brancaleone, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Tanner Paskoski was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

Martin County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .536. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Martin County has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. Lyman has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

Martin County will challenge DeLand at 8:45 a.m. on Friday. Martin County's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so DeLand's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Lyman, they and Deltona will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Lyman has given up an average of 7.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
