Volleyball Recap: Boone Beats Lake Mary for Their Third Straight Win

Boone had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came out on top against the Lake Mary Rams by a score of 3-1. The Braves have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rams, too.

Boone's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mia Duxbury, who had three digs and two aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Stella Enz, who had 17 assists.

They weren't the only good server: Boone was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 12 aces in three consecutive matchups.

Boone now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Lake Mary, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Boone will venture away from home to take on Celebration at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. After both having extra time off, Lake Mary and Winter Springs will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
