Soccer Recap: Carter-Riverside Takes a Loss

Carter-Riverside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Venus Bulldogs. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2020.

Carter-Riverside's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Venus, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Carter-Riverside will take on Benbrook at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Venus, they will take on Lampasas in a tournament on Saturday. Lampasas will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Venus surely won't give up without a fight.
