Basketball Recap: Lake Catholic Extends Winning Streak to Three

Lake Catholic had won two straight games and Cross Nimmo did his part to make it three on Tuesday. The Lake Catholic Cougars skirted past the Benedictine Bengals 74-71 thanks in part to Nimmo, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 boards. Those 25 points gave him a new career-high.

The team also got some help courtesy of Ace Peterlin, who posted 15 points. The game was his fourth in a row with at least ten points.

Lake Catholic's record is now 3-1. As for Benedictine, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Lake Catholic Cougars take on the Elyria Catholic Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lake Catholic is facing Elyria Catholic at the right time seeing as Elyria Catholic is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Benedictine, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cornerstone Christian at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday.
