Volleyball Recap: Willmar Beats Wadena-Deer Creek for Their Fifth Straight Win

Willmar entered their tilt with Wadena-Deer Creek on Saturday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Wolverines by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Cardinals, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Willmar was led to victory by Jordan Blahosky and Ellery DeBoer. Blahosky had nine digs and two assists, while DeBoer hit 100% for five kills and four digs and one block. DeBoer is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 57 games she's played dating back to last season.

Willmar's record now sits at 19-7. As for Wadena-Deer Creek, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five matches and leaves them with a 13-9 record.

Willmar has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Roseville on the 18th. Wadena-Deer Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
