Soccer Recap: Henrico Comes Up Short

Henrico was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Hanover Hawks, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Henrico can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 273rd, while Hanover are ranked 126th).

Henrico's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Hanover, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Henrico is set to take on their familiar foe Varina at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Hanover will challenge rival Mechanicsville at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
