Recap: Liberty Lions vs. Winters Mill Falcons
The Liberty Lions won the last time they faced the Winters Mill Falcons, and things went their way on Friday too. Liberty rang in the new year with a 57-49 victory over Winters Mill. The win made it back-to-back wins for Liberty.
Winters Mill lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kamdyn Koch, who scored four points along with 18 rebounds. Those 18 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Owen Case was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five assists.
Liberty's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Winters Mill, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty will face off against South Carroll at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Winters Mill, they will head out on the road to face off against Brunswick at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Brunswick is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
