Recap: Del Rio Rams vs. Laredo LBJ Wolves
The Del Rio Rams were the 65-59 winner over the Laredo LBJ Wolves when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Del Rio took a 51-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Laredo LBJ on Friday. Del Rio has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Laredo LBJ's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Damian Medina led the charge by scoring 12 points along with five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Miguel Leija, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Del Rio's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-17. As for Laredo LBJ, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 17-20.
Del Rio will take on United South at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Del Rio will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 553rd, while United South is ranked 146th). As for Laredo LBJ, they will head out on the road to face off against Alexander at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Laredo LBJ focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Friday.
