Basketball Recap: Mescalero Apache Takes a Loss

Mescalero Apache was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 46-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Roy/Mosquero Blue/Lady Blue. While losing is never fun, the Chiefs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Mexico basketball rankings (they are ranked 74th, while the Blue/Lady Blue are ranked 20th).

Mescalero Apache's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Roy/Mosquero, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.

Coming up, Mescalero Apache will be home for the holidays to greet Roy Municipal School at 11:45 a.m. on Friday. As for Roy/Mosquero, they and Fort Sumner/House will face off at 6:45 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played.
