While Woodbridge's victory against Potomac Senior wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Vikings sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over the Panthers on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won eight in a row.

Julius Pabon made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double was his first of the season.

Pabon wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Matthew Jacques, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that Jacques has snagged this season. Noah Babcock was another, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one double.

Woodbridge's record is now 9-4. As for Potomac Senior, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Woodbridge will square off against Fairfax HomeSchool at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Potomac Senior, they will head out to challenge Forest Park at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
