Baseball Recap: Suncoast's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak on the Road

The Suncoast Chargers came up short against the Mandarin Mustangs on Thursday and fell 9-5.

Thomas Pastore was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Moore, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Suncoast's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-8. As for Mandarin, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Suncoast will venture away from home to challenge Clay at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Suncoast 4.1, Clay 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Mandarin, they will head out to take on Fletcher at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
