Basketball Game Preview: Wayne Blue Devils vs. Elkhorn Valley Falcons

The Wayne Blue Devils will head out on the road to square off against the Elkhorn Valley Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Last Tuesday, Wayne took their match with ease, bagging a 52-11 victory over Wakefield. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blue Devils.

Wayne can attribute much of their success to Haley Kramer, who went 6 for 12 on her way to 17 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Claire Lutter, who posted nine points and seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Elkhorn Valley put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Elgin/Pope John 70-36. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 34 points or more this season.

Wayne's win ended an 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1. As for Elkhorn Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.
