Basketball Game Preview: Leo Lions vs. Northridge Knights

The Leo Lions will challenge the Northridge Knights at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Northridge took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Leo, who comes in off a win.

Leo took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Marmion as Leo made off with a 62-36 win. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Northridge unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They lost 72-49 to Lake Forest Academy. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Knights have suffered since December 21, 2024.

Leo pushed their record up to 9-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Northridge, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 13-4.

Leo beat Northridge 44-36 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Will Leo repeat their success, or does Northridge have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
