Baseball Game Preview: Van Bulldogs vs. Tug Valley Panthers

Van hasn't had much luck against Tug Valley recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Bulldogs will head out to challenge the Panthers at 5:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Van is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 19th straight game dating back to last season on Wednesday. They took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of River View.

Easton Moore made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game. Parker Moore also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Tug Valley fell victim to St. Joseph Central and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Irish, falling 9-0.

Tug Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Van, their loss dropped their record down to 0-11.

Van might still be hurting after the 14-4 defeat they got from Tug Valley when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
