After having lost a blowout in their previous game against White Plains, North Rockland was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Nyack Red Hawks a 16-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Red Hawks: they've now won four in a row.

North Rockland's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for Nyack, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.
