Basketball Recap: Saxony Lutheran Comes Up Short

Saxony Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 45-43 heartbreaker at the hands of the Jefferson Blue Jays. If the Crusaders were looking for revenge after losing 60-54 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Saxony Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Jefferson, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Coming up, Saxony Lutheran will take on Chaffee at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jefferson, they are taking a road trip to take on Northwest at 7:00 p.m. on February 20th.
