Football Recap: Clinton Falls to Northbridge in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Clinton had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were dealt a 39-7 defeat at the hands of the Northbridge Rams on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Gaels have suffered since September 13, 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Clinton lost, don't look at Gavin Naughton. Despite the final result, he rushed for 98 yards and one touchdown on only six carries.

Joel Lachapelle went supernova For Northbridge., rushing for 99 yards and four scores on only 12 carries, while also throwing for 234 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 10.6 yards per attempt. What's more, Lachapelle racked up 122.2 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September of 2024.

Looking ahead, Clinton will head out to take on South at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northbridge, they will be playing at home against St. Bernard's Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
