High Point had lost three games at home, but after bumping their record up to 8-7 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They skirted past the Vernon Vikings 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wildcats have posted since April 16th.

Grace Meyers was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. Meyers was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one double. That double was her first of the season.

As for Vernon, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss they have suffered since March 23rd.
