Football Recap: Gladstone/Riverdale Takes a Loss

Gladstone/Riverdale extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to eight on Friday, dropping them down to 0-7. They were dealt a 40-0 defeat at the hands of the Scappoose Indians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Gladstone/Riverdale of the 41-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.

As for Scappoose, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.3 points on average over those games.

Leading Scappoose to victory were Will Kessi and Elijah Greenan Biggs. Kessi threw for 177 yards and one touchdown on only 12 passes, while Greenan Biggs rushed for 13 yards and a pair of scores.

As of now, neither Gladstone/Riverdale nor Scappoose have any future games scheduled.
