Softball Game Preview: Knox Redskins vs. Bremen Lions

Knox is 2-7 against Bremen since May of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Redskins will challenge the Lions at 6:00 p.m. The last three games Knox has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Monday, Knox didn't have quite enough to beat Pioneer and fell 6-5.

Karleigh Friedrich made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double.

Meanwhile, Bremen sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 13-12 win over Concord on Saturday.

Bremen got a big performance out of Delainey Neher, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most runs Neher has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Isabella Calentine, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Bremen kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive matchups.

Bremen's record is now 9-15. As for Knox, they now have a losing record of 12-13.

Knox came out on top in a nail-biter against Bremen in their previous matchup on Friday, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Redskins since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
