Basketball Game Preview: Lorain Titans vs. Berea-Midpark Titans

We've got a battle between Titans coming up. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Berea-Midpark will be up against a hot Lorain squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Lorain put the hurt on Shaw with a sharp 55-34 win on Saturday. Given the Titans' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 371st, while the Cardinals are ranked 749th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Berea-Midpark took their contest on Saturday with ease, bagging a 57-21 victory over North Ridgeville. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Titans.

Lorain pushed their record up to 12-8 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points over those games. As for Berea-Midpark, their victory bumped their record up to 14-7.

Lorain took a serious blow against Berea-Midpark in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 57-17. Can Lorain avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
