MAIS AA District 3 recap Sept. 26, 2012
River Oaks led MAIS AA District 3 in scoring this week after putting up 69 points on River Oaks.
River Oaks' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Mustangs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Brendan MacGregor has thrown for 252 yards and three touchdowns this season, while Jordan Sutton has six catches for 72 yards. Alex Biedenharn leads the league in rushing with 654 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Mustangs take on Prairie View Academy. River Oaks is in third place, while the Spartans are in first place.
Central Hinds Academy made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,611 from 8,398. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 32-6 victory over the Cougars last week.
