There's no place like home for Donovan, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Illinois Lutheran Chargers on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their six-match losing streak.

While Donovan won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-13.

Donovan was led to victory by Chloe Ponton and Lily Anderson. Ponton had seven digs and two aces, while Anderson had 17 assists and five digs.

They weren't the only good servers: Donovan was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They are 5-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

Donovan's record is now 8-11. As for Illinois Lutheran, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-13.

Donovan has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Momence on the 2nd. As for Illinois Lutheran, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against St. Anne on the 1st.
