Football Preview: Lewisville Farmers vs. Marcus Marauders
After each having a week off, the Lewisville Farmers and the Marcus Marauders will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
Two weeks ago, Lewisville ended up a good deal behind Rockwall and lost 42-27. The Farmers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Lewisville had strong showings from Tre Williams, who threw for 198 yards and four touchdowns, and Landon Bogany, who picked up 88 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Bogany showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 51 yards.
Meanwhile, Marcus put another one in the bag two weeks ago to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Pearce by a score of 31-20. Marcus was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 271 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2023.
Lewisville's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-2. As for Marcus, their record now sits at 3-0.
