Volleyball Game Preview: Martin Warriors vs. Allen Eagles

The Martin Warriors will challenge the Allen Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Martin is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They blew past Richardson 3-0. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

Martin never let Richardson on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-14, 26-24.

Meanwhile, Allen made easy work of Coppell on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 win.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-20, 25-11.

Martin better focus on containing Landry McRae and Emily Capangpangan as the pair were huge in Allen's win. McRae had 17 assists and six digs, while Capangpangan had 14 assists and four digs. McRae has been hot, having posted 12 or more assists the last six times she's played.

Allen's victory bumped their record up to 36-6. As for Martin, their win bumped their record up to 23-17.

Martin came up short against Allen in their previous meeting back in August of 2024, falling 3-1. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
