Basketball Recap: Athens Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Athens can now relate to. They took a 51-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Muscle Shoals Trojans on Monday. The Golden Eagles have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Athens' loss dropped their record down to 11-19. As for Muscle Shoals, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Athens nor Muscle Shoals have any future games scheduled.
