Basketball Recap: Sioux Valley Comes Up Short

If Sioux Valley was riding high fresh off their 66-25 takedown of Tiospaye Topa last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Sioux Valley Cossacks fell to the Deuel Cardinals 56-52. The Cossacks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Sioux Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Deuel, their victory bumped their record up to 11-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sioux Valley will host Parker at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Sioux Valley is facing Parker at the right time seeing as Parker is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Deuel, they will be playing at home against Hamlin at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hamlin will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Deuel surely won't give up without a fight.
