Basketball Recap: Waterloo vs. First Baptist Academy Eagles
Waterloo lost against First Baptist Academy back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Waterloo lost 73-48 to the First Baptist Academy Eagles. Waterloo has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Waterloo still got an impressive performance from Isaiah Rees, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds. Linus Sanchez was another key player, putting up 13 points.
Timothy De La Rosa continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for First Baptist Academy, going 11 for 19 en route to 25 points and six steals. Another player making a difference was Matthew Levine, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 14 points and seven assists.
Waterloo's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for First Baptist Academy, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-11.
