Baseball Recap: Holcomb Starts Season with Win at Home

Holcomb took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Clearwater Fightin' Tigers. The Hornets not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 23, 2024.

Stephen Bradshaw looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Jaxsten Pikey was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. Keaton Cunningham was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

We've got a battle between Hornets coming up. As for Clearwater, they will venture away from home to take on West County at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
