Softball Recap: Harrison Takes a Loss

Greenwood hit Harrison with a nine-run first inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Goblins lost 14-0 to the Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, with their most recent defeat being a 16-0 loss back in March.

Harrison's defeat was their tenth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Greenwood, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harrison will host Farmington at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Greenwood, they will be playing at home against Bentonville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 1.2 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
