Basketball Game Preview: Craig County Rockets vs. Parry McCluer Fighting Blues

Craig County is 0-10 against Parry McCluer since February of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Craig County Rockets will challenge the Parry McCluer Fighting Blues at 7:00 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Craig County had to suffer through a 58-13 loss at the hands of Narrows. While losing is never fun, the Rockets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 344th, while the Green Waves are ranked 138th).

Meanwhile, Parry McCluer was fully in charge on Tuesday, breezing past Bath County 47-20. The Fighting Blues have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 24 points or more this season.

Craig County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Parry McCluer, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.

Craig County was dealt a bruising 52-24 loss at the hands of Parry McCluer in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Craig County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
