Basketball Recap: Sublette Comes Up Short

Sublette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 40th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Syracuse Bulldogs, falling 67-23. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 52-19 back in January.

Aneya Puentes was Sublette's leading scorer, having posted seven points. Serenity Clubb held things down on the boards with nine rebounds.

Sublette's loss dropped their record down to 0-19. As for Syracuse, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Sublette wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 60-23 defeat against Stanton County on the 25th. As for Syracuse, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-45 victory against Ulysses on the 24th.
