Kentwood hadn't done well against Mt. Rainier recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Conquerors walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Rams. This was a revenge game for the Conquerors: when they faced off against the Rams on October 1st, they had to take a 3-1 loss.

Mt. Rainier lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Tyla Brown, who had 21 digs and one assist. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

The win made it two in a row for Kentwood and bumps their season record up to 7-8. As for Mt. Rainier, they moved to 11-5 with that defeat, which also ended their eight-match winning streak.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Kentwood will square off against rival Auburn at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Mt. Rainier is set to face off against their familiar foe Stadium at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
