Basketball Game Preview: Thornapple Kellogg Trojans vs. South Christian Sailors

Thornapple Kellogg hasn't had much luck against South Christian recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Thornapple Kellogg Trojans will square off against the South Christian Sailors at 7:00 p.m.

Thornapple Kellogg will head into Thursday's match out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Thursday. They lost 58-34 to Forest Hills Northern. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 180th, while the Huskies are ranked 28th).

Meanwhile, South Christian entered their tilt with Wyoming on Friday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They came out on top against the Wolves by a score of 59-46.

South Christian pushed their record up to 14-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.8 points. As for Thornapple Kellogg, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.

Thornapple Kellogg ended up a good deal behind South Christian in their previous meeting back in January, losing 47-28. Can Thornapple Kellogg avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
