Recap: Switzerland County Pacers vs. Rising Sun Shiners
The Switzerland County Pacers waltzed into Friday's matchup with two straight wins but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 65-50 win over Rising Sun. Given Switzerland County's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 161st, while Rising Sun is ranked 383rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Cam Craig, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and 10 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Switzerland County's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Peelman, who scored 10 points.
When it comes to explaining why Rising Sun lost, one person who can't be blamed is Brody Morris. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points along with 7 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Gavin Shorten, who scored 6 points along with 8 rebounds.
Switzerland County's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Rising Sun, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Switzerland County will be home for the holidays to greet Hauser at 7:30 p.m. on December 16th. As for Rising Sun, they will head out on the road to face off against New Washington at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
