Florence won the last time they faced Muscle Shoals and things went their way on Friday too. The Falcons walked away with an 8-3 win over the Trojans. While the Falcons didn't have the best season last year (they finished 17-21), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The victory made it two in a row for Florence and bumps their season record up to 12-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Muscle Shoals, they moved to 4-6 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Florence will head out to take on Winfield at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Muscle Shoals, they will be playing at home against Homewood at 11:30 a.m. on Monday.
