Volleyball Recap: North Branch Extends Winning Streak to Four

North Branch had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Lake Fenton Blue Devils. That's more bragging rights for the Broncos, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Aubree Deshetsky paced North Branch's offense, picking up 20 kills. Deshetsky got some help from Kylie Doherty and her 30 assists. Addison Franklin controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Despite the loss, Lake Fenton still got an impressive performance from Abbigayl Sells, who had 22 digs. Sells has been hot for a while, having posted 13 or more digs the last ten times she's played.

North Branch's win bumped their record up to 27-10. As for Lake Fenton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-12.

North Branch wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Anchor Bay on the 18th. As for Lake Fenton, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Cass Tech on the 18th.
