After flying high against Stockbridge on Thursday, Marion came back down to earth. The Mustangs came up short against the Northland Lutheran Wildcats on Monday, falling 3-0. The Mustangs' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Marion was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-21, 25-19.

Marion's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Sophia Wudstrack, who had 12 assists and six aces, and Madeline Wudstrack, who had seven digs and two aces. Madeline is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Marion's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Northland Lutheran, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Coming up, Marion is taking a road trip to take on White Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northland Lutheran, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Tigerton on the 9th.
