Elwood hasn't had much luck at home recently (they'd lost four straight) but thanks in part to Cam Gallegos that streak is no more. The Elwood Panthers walked away with a 51-38 victory over the Providence Cristo Rey Wolves on Saturday thanks to Gallegos, who went 9-for-15 on his way to 22 points. What's more, he also posted a 60% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in February of 2024.

Jackson Gordon was another key player, putting up ten points. He is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 67% in the last three games he's played.

Elwood's win bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Providence Cristo Rey, their loss dropped their record down to 15-7.

Elwood has already played their next match, a 51-42 defeat against Eastern on the 18th. As for Providence Cristo Rey, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 55-19 victory against Indiana School for the Deaf on the 18th.
