Basketball Recap: Waterloo Takes a Loss

Waterloo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Glenwood Titans 50-23. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 231st, while the Titans are ranked 66th).

Glenwood found their leader in sophomore Alexis Neumann, who went 6 of 12 on her way to 17 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. That's the most steals Neumann has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Rowann Law, who posted eight points along with ten boards and three steals.

Waterloo's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Glenwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Waterloo will square off against St. Vincent at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Glenwood, they will challenge Carlyle at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
