Soccer Recap: Woodmore Takes a Loss

Woodmore was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 12-2 to the Genoa Area Comets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Woodmore of the 7-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2022.

Blake Baughman and Ryne Donley scored both of Woodmore's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Woodmore's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Genoa Area, their win ended a five-match drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8.

Woodmore didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 5-3 defeat against Cory-Rawson on the 29th. As for Genoa Area, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, an 8-3 victory against Rossford on the 24th.
