Soccer Recap: Newark Memorial Takes a Loss

After flying high against Mission San Jose last Wednesday, Newark Memorial came back down to earth. The Newark Memorial Cougars fell just short of the James Logan Colts by a score of 1-0 on Friday. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Colts earlier this season, when they won 6-2.

Newark Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9-3. As for James Logan, their win bumped their record up to 9-7-2.

Newark Memorial is taking a road trip to challenge American at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for James Logan, they will welcome Washington at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. James Logan's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
