Basketball Game Preview: Jim Hill Tigers vs. Forest Hill Patriots

Jim Hill is 0-10 against Forest Hill since January of 2021 but things could change on Monday. The Jim Hill Tigers will face off against the Forest Hill Patriots at 4:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Jim Hill easily dispatched Raymond on Thursday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Jim Hill fell just short of Hattiesburg by a score of 52-49 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Jim Hill has suffered since December 13, 2024.

Meanwhile, Forest Hill lost to Callaway at home by a 71-53 margin on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 144th, while the Chargers are ranked 12th).

Jim Hill's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Forest Hill, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season.

Jim Hill might still be hurting after the 61-35 defeat they got from Forest Hill in their previous matchup last Friday. Can Jim Hill avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
