Basketball Recap: Jace Riggan's Big Game Can't Quite Lead North Florida Christian over Lincoln

North Florida Christian lost against Lincoln back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The North Florida Christian Eagles fell 67-57 to the Lincoln Trojans. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (56), the Eagles still had to take the loss.

North Florida Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jace Riggan, who went 7 for 12 on his way to 22 points and six boards. Riggan has been hot, having posted 17 or more points the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Kyle Estimond, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.

It was another big night for Malakhi Lowe, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine boards for Lincoln. That's the most points Lowe has posted since back in November of 2024. Jelani Wilmer-Cotton also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for North Florida Christian and nudges their season record down to 5-12. As for Lincoln, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-6.

North Florida Christian has already played their next contest, a 61-25 victory against Wakulla on the 17th. As for Lincoln, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 61-48 defeat against Rickards on the 17th.
