Soccer Game Preview: Perris vs. Hillcrest

The Perris Panthers will venture away from home to face off against the Hillcrest Trojans at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Perris' last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Hillcrest will have to contend with a Perris team hungry for a win, something the squad hasn't seen since December 12. Perris fell just short of JW North by a score of 2-1 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Hillcrest managed to keep up with Citrus Hill until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Trojans came up short against the Hawks, falling 4-0. Considering the last time Hillcrest couldn't score was back in December of 2025, the team can't take the result too hard.

Perris' defeat dropped their record down to 6-12-1. As for Hillcrest, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1-3 and their overall record down to 10-3-3.

Perris suffered a grim 5-0 defeat to Hillcrest when the teams last played on January 9th. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
