Basketball Recap: Potter-Dix Skates Past Banner County with Ease

Potter-Dix had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 40-point drubbing they dealt Banner County on Friday. The Potter-Dix Coyotes blew past the Banner County Wildcats 69-29. With that win, the Coyotes brought their scoring average up to 51.8 points per game.

Leading Potter-Dix to victory were Dylan Tabor and Landon Gasseling. Tabor went 9 for 16 on his way to 21 points, while Gasseling posted 19 points. The dominant performance gave Tabor a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Trenton Hickman, who put up six points and three steals.

Potter-Dix picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Banner County, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Potter-Dix won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Wallace at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Potter-Dix is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.8 points per game this season. As for Banner County, they and Edgemont will face off at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
