Recap: Greenway Demons vs. Poston Butte Broncos
After flying high against the Verrado Vipers back in December of 2023, the Greenway Demons came back down to earth. Greenway was dealt a 49-13 loss at the hands of Poston Butte on Monday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Greenway has scored all season.
Julia Harris was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 15 steals for Poston Butte. Harris has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Milan Silvera, who scored 14 points along with five steals.
Greenway's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Poston Butte, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-6.
Greenway will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Moon Valley at 5:30 p.m. Moon Valley is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Poston Butte, they will head out on the road to face off against Arizona College Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
